Vinas Mora Barbba Field Blend 2022

The Barbba 2022 is a vibrant field blend from the coastal hills of Primošten, Croatia, crafted by a revitalized local cooperative called Vinas Mora. This wine combines 80% red varieties—Plavina and Lasin—with 20% white grapes—Debit and Maraština. The grapes are co-fermented with partial skin contact: about 35% undergoes a 7-hour maceration, while the remaining 65% sees a 3-day maceration. Fermentation occurs naturally in open vats, and the wine is aged in neutral oak, resulting in a light-bodied, chillable red. Expect notes of strawberry fruit leather, violets, steeped orange peel, and iced tea, with a juicy, herbal-forward character and a touch of earthiness.
