Vicomte Single Malt French Whisky is twice-distilled in copper pot stills from 100% organic French barley. Its double-maturation begins in new French oak limousin barrels for approximately 6 months, before being transferred to used Cognac barrels to age an additional 8 years. The name is pronounced “vee-kownt” and used as a title of French nobility, status, aristocracy.
Vicomte 8 Year Single Malt French Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Lovely aromas of apricot, over ripe banana, burnt sugar, honey, vanilla, wood spice, caramel, orange rind, lemon, and cream.
Palate: Palate is rich with fresh citrus juice, grapes, milk chocolate, brown sugar, liquorice, orange zest, toffee apple, figs and prunes.
Finish: The finish is mild yet long, with a wonderful grapey toasted oak and burnt brown sugar.

Vicomte is produced at a century old, small French distillery, using 100% organic natural barley, grown and harvested from the Poitou-Charentes region of France. Distilled twice in copper alembic (pot) stills.
