This elegant and complex whisky was initially blended from more than fifty different scotch whiskies, and is a superb example of the blender’s art. It was first blended in 1995 as a premium 30 Year-Old Blend for the burgeoning Asian market, and refilled into Bourbon wood for marrying.
The Last Drop 50 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: A warm aroma of baked orchard fruits, chocolate cherries and rich sherry with a hint of wood spice and roasted coffee.
Palate: On the palate, the whisky is rich and smooth with generous dark raisin, star anise and baked plums.
Finish: The finish is luscious and lingering; red grape and blackcurrant with a subtle overtone of liquorice.

Created in 2008 by industry veterans James Espey, Tom Jago and Peter Fleck, they can call on a wealth of experience from successful careers working with some of the largest spirits brands in the world such as Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal, J&B and The Classic Malts as well as Baileys, Smirnoff and Malibu. Rather than retire, they’re putting their collective knowledge to good use and continuing to release award-winning spirits.
