The wine displays a deep purple hue. The bouquet is rich with aromas of oak, tobacco, leather, cassis, black fruits, blackberries, and blackcurrant. This “third wine,” crafted from younger vines averaging 22 years, and bearing the 3rd label of Calon Ségur, offers a medium-plus body with rounded tannins, subtle acidity, and a long finish.
