Jancis Robinson, MW 18.5/20 -Tasted from cask. A year described as ‘very easy’ by Gianfanco Soldera. 24,000 bottles expected from their 10 ha of vines, ‘classic’ quantity and quality. The total acidity is likely to be more than 6 g/l by bottling. Pale garnet with leaf-mould arias and striking freshness. This glorious wine is so healthily pure and long, it’s like the most luxurious mouthwash. I remark that I feel I could almost enjoy this tonight but he assures me it needs another four years in cask.
