The Jakab Padi-Hegy Furmint is a meticulously cultivated organic dry Furmint. This wine is the result of a collaboration between Zoltán Jakab and Attila Homonna, a luminary in the realm of dry Tokaji. The foundation of this wine lies in the Padi-hegy vineyard, the estate’s inaugural acquisition in 2006. With a southern exposure, the vineyard boasts rocky terrain speckled with stones and a unique soil composition of rhyolite tuff, geyserite, limnoquarzite, and a significant presence of clay.
Crafted exclusively from Furmint grapes, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is then aged in oak barrels. In its creation, a diverse mix of barrels is employed, including those from the revered Stockinger of Austria and traditional Hungarian Zemplen oak.
