Montagave Blanco Heritage sits in a unique space between blanco and reposado. Its made from 100% blue Weber agave at Cascahun (NOM 1123), but instead of going straight to bottle, its rested briefly in Bordeaux wine barrels. That short time in cask gives it a different shape than a typical blanco without pushing it fully into aged territory.
The nose comes in lifted and expressive, with roasted agave, citrus, and a light floral edge, followed by hints of red fruit and a soft sweetness. On the palate, its rounder than a standard blanco, with agave up front layered with stone fruit, subtle berry notes, and a touch of honey and spice. The wine cask influence shows more in texture than heavy flavor, giving it a smoother, slightly more polished feel.
This is a modern, crossover style. Still clearly agave-driven, but with just enough barrel influence to add dimension and softness.
A great option if you want something a little different from a traditional blanco, especially if youre into wine or looking for a tequila with a bit more texture and nuance.
