Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril are 10th generation, direct heirs of Bernard de Pennautier, who founded the winery in 1620. King Louis XIII visited the Chateau shortly after it opened, and was so taken by the gratitude of his host that he gave them his travel furniture, which is still on display at the chateau. With nearly 400 years of history, the focus here is on doing and thinking with the family legacy in mind, allowing the Languedoc terroir to shine through. The wine is
