Commercial Description:
Here we have the fifth batch of Kilkerran’s Heavily Peated expression, which as you can expect from that name, boasts a hefty helping of smoke at its core. This single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown region was allowed to age in a combination of 85% bourbon casks and 15% sherry casks, before being bottled
Nose:Roasted oak, toasted cereals, a sweet hint of brown sugar atop flaky pastry, oat cakes.
Palate:Red fruit, more charred oak and a hint of ash, hints of lemon and flamed orange peel.
Finish:Bonfires on beaches and sea salt.
