Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal is the third in a series of special releases crafted using incredibly rare whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker reserves. At the heart of this limited-edition whisky lies the Highland single malt, Glenury Royal – a ‘ghost’ distillery that shut its doors in 1985 after a long and colourful history.

Nose: Earthy aroma with hints of thyme and maple sirup.
Palate: Walnut on the palate with peat notes and orchard fruit.
Finish: Vanilla and brown sugar on the finish.
Distillery Information
In 1857, Alexander Walker — Johnnie Walker’s eldest son — inherited the store and began improving its selection of single malt Scotch whiskies. In addition, Alexander had apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
