El Velo Reposado is a valley-grown tequila built with a more dialed-in, cocktail-minded approach, but theres plenty here for sipping as well. Made from 100% blue Weber agave and bottled at a slightly higher proof, it leans into a fuller, more structured style than most reposados.
The tequila is rested for several months in oak, which adds texture and softens the edges without taking over. The nose shows cooked agave, citrus, and a lightly earthy, savory edge, with hints of vanilla and toasted oak starting to come through. On the palate, its more assertive than your typical reposado, with roasted agave, caramel, and spice layered alongside herbal and mineral notes. The higher proof gives it lift and keeps everything feeling focused through the finish.
This is a more modern, bar-driven style of reposado that still respects traditional structure. Its built to hold its own in cocktails, but theres enough depth and character here to enjoy neat if you like something with a bit more edge.
