The beer has been brewed since 2005 in the De Glazen Toren Brewery in Mere in the municipality of Erpe-Mere.It is a straw blond wheat beer with an alcohol percentage of 7%.The beer is named after the eighteenth-century crook Jan de Lichte from Velzeke.
