The Wine
A fruitforward Barbera showing notes of black cherry, plum, and wild berry lifted by secondary aromas ofviolet, spice, and a touch of earth. The palate is juicy and mediumbodied, with Barberas signature bright acidity, supple tannins, and a clean, mouthwatering finish.
Fresh, true to the grape, and deliciously drinkable.
Pairings: Pizza, eggplant Parmesan, Vitello Tonato (a Piemonte tradition!), stuffed/roasted peppers, roast chicken, pork chops grilled with garlic and rosemary, lamb, sausages sauteed with peppers and onions… a very food friendly wine spanning a wide array of dishes! Cheese pairing ideas – Fontina, Taleggio, Robiola, young Pecorino, and any semi-soft, creamy or washed-rind cheeses.
