Variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier
Founded in 1818 by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, the Billecart-Salmon estate has remained a family-run Champagne house for over two centuries. From its base in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the house has cultivated a reputation for finesse, balance, and dedication to quality — values shaped early on by Louis Salmon, Elisabeth’s brother and the estate’s first winemaker.
Today, Billecart-Salmon continues to blend traditional craftsmanship with thoughtful vineyard practices. In certain parcels, such as the historic Clos Saint-Hilaire, a single hectare of Pinot Noir, the team uses horses, sheep, and goats to manage the soils naturally, reflecting their respect for the land and its unique terroir. Across more than 200 hectares of estate and partner vineyards and beneath the labyrinth of chalk cellars, the house carefully crafts wines that embody precision and elegance.
The Extra Brut Le Rosé NV is composed of approximately 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier. Vinification takes place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel, preserving the wine’s delicate aromatics and purity of fruit. After blending, the Champagne rests for around 36 months on the lees, developing its refined texture and subtle complexity.
Fresh, vibrant, and graceful, this non-vintage rosé is intended to be enjoyed young, showcasing bright red berry fruit, floral notes, and a lively mineral finish.
