Rum: Bacardi Rum Coconut
Bacardi Coco, Spanish for coconut, combines rich coconut flavor with pure Bacardi Rum. To obtain this one-of-a-kind coconut taste, the coconut is steeped to release the flavor. The spirit is then filtered. The result is a clean, dry spirit with a rich coconut aroma and authentic taste, reminiscent of coconut right off the tree.
Size: 750mL
Proof: 70 (35% ABV)
Origin: Catano, Puerto Rico
Distillery: Bacardi
Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums and aged for a minimum of 8 years, giving it a refined flavor with notes of prune, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla.
Bacardi Rum Coconut Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark with some more woody notes and even cheese aromas as of brie.
Palate: Dried fruits, vanilla, berries, and dried plums give a much sweeter and fuller bodied than the Superior version, with the same characteristic berry notes.
Finish: A bit of butterscotch on the finish along with the clove spice which I didn’t notice with the superior version. Not long lasting or complex; perhaps I’ve been spoiled by my whiskies. There is some vanilla on the finish, but it’s not that significant. Fairly dry, and perhaps very lightly woody. There’s a bit of tangy-ness on the finish.
