The Adelaida winery, located in the Santa Lucia highlands, was originally purchased by Don and Elizabeth Van Steenwyk in 1971 as a family getaway. Winemaker Jon Munch produced the labels first wine ten years later. The estate is ideally situated–in terms of both terrain and climate– to produce the classic Southern Rhone varietals.
