The Protea lines of wines are all about sustainability. The fruit for this line comes from different vineyards across the Western Cape, all hand-harvested. From the art printed directly onto the bottles that represents the biodiversity of the region, to the innovative Amorim Helix cork (a resealable, twist-to-open, and ergonomically designed stopper made from cork agglomerate), Protea is endeavoring to extend the life of each wine past the vineyard.
The fruit for Proteas Chenin Blanc was all hand-harvested, de-stemmed and whole-bunch pressed before fermentation.Strawberry and raspberry aromas with a subtle floral fringe that compliments its pale pink shade. The palate is fresh and juicy with a gentle citrus tang perfectly offset and balanced by the rounded berry compote.
