50% Muscat (35 % Muscat de Frontignan, 15% Muscat de Alexandria) 35% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Gewrztraminer
This blend might seem unusual but it’s actually pretty common in Penedes! It’s all aromatic whites made from a mix of Northern and indigenous varieties. The grapes are picked just as they reach ripeness to ensure the retention of acidity to balance the 6g/L of residual sugar. The name “Gessami” means Jasmine in English, which is perfect for this floral white. Gessami is made by Gramona, one of the most prestigious Cava producers in Spain.
This wine is spring in a bottle. It evokes cool fresh air with swirling white flowers, jasmine, orange blossom and rose around you. It’s light bodied and silky on the palate but balanced by amazing acidity to keep it fresh.
